Things To Do

If you would like time out from the beach or pool, there are many other activities within easy reach.  There are a number of water parks in the area and why not swim with the dolphins at Zoomarine. Fancy challenging your family to a game of crazy golf? The Krazy World is the place to go. Would you prefer to learn a little about the history of the Algarve? You can by visiting Silves or the ruins at Milreu.

The resort is good for nightlife, and offers a good selection of bars, restaurants and clubs. There is always something to do at any hour of the day or night! The beaches here are good, and stretch out both to the East and West of the town.

Cruise the bays on a catamaran.Trips to the caves, visit isolated bays where you can swim in transparent waters. Onboard bar, a diving board and shute. Lunch Barbecue. Suitable for all the family.

5: Sagres

Five centuries ago in Sagres, Prince Henry the Navigator founded the Navigation College, essential to the Portuguese Discoveries and seafaring future. The famous Sagres fortress, is well worth a visit. At continental Europe's south westernmost tip, the imposing St Vincent Cape stands guard, a vast horizon.

6: Silves

Explore the ancient moorish castle in Silves, the scene of many battles during the middle ages, and crusades, including Richard the Lionheart who helped defend the castle from the moors in 1190.

 

7: Monchique Mountains

For a complete contrast from the beaches inland you will find pine forests and small country villages nestling in charming countryside. The area is worth a visit. Monchique itself is a pretty place, famous for its spa water.
